Loss Prevention and Safety Studies

ONSPEC provides wide range of Loss Prevention and Safety studies required to ensure safe operation and provide a reference with hazards, performance measures, safe guards and recommendations to implement effective and safe process. It includes but not limited to the following:

  • HAZID Study is “Hazard Identification” qualitative technique for the early identification of potential hazards and threats that may cause death or injury
  • HAZOP Study is “Hazard and Operability Analysis” to identify, evaluate, and control hazards associated with the plant operation.
  • SIL Study is “Safety Integrity Level” studies to assessing the probability that a functional safety system will fail when it is needed.
  • HAC Study is “Hazardous Area Classification” to draw the guidelines of several different Recommended practice(s) for the Area Classification required for the installation of the electrical equipment with the related specific protection kind within a process area.
  • EERA Study is “Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Assessment” to implement a safe means of Escape, Evacuation and Rescue (EER) to mitigate the Health, Safety and Environmental risks associated with the production, treatment, storage of flammable and hazardous fluids associated with oil and gas production facilities.
  • ERP is “Emergence Response Plan” includes list of actions developed to mitigate the damage of potential events that could endanger an organization’s ability to function.
  • ALARP Demonstration Study to collate the recommendations and results from all other studies, to determine if these results are in compliance with suitable international, national and company standards.

  • QRA Study is “Quantitative Risk Assessment” to estimate risk levels and to assess their significance in order to decide whether or not the risks need to be reduced.
  • FERA Study is “Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment” through consequence modelling for credible release scenario.
  • Dispersion and Radiation Study to determine the possible consequences with respect to the potential damage or impact to adjacent personal, equipment and buildings following a hazardous scenario releasing flammable substances
  • Fire & Gas Mapping Study for 2D/3D Model of all production areas gives an objective analysis of detector layouts to support the design method and optimize the amount of detectors
  • PFP Study is “Passive Fire Protection ” to "prevent" the spread of fire and smoke, or heating of structural members, for an intended limited period of time as determined by the local building code and fire codes in order to develop “Fire Zone Layouts ”.

Besides, Environmental Studies including but not limited to Noise Study, Noise Control Design, Waste Management Study, and Emissions and Control Studies
